Let's get inclusive
- Steffi G.
My name is Steffi and I was born in Colombia, and raised in Miami, Florida.
Currently living in Orlando, FL
I was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bones), I was originally given 24 hours to live. Well, I can say I’ve made it a bit past that!
I don’t use the term “in spite of my disability” instead, I like to say I am thriving WITH my disability. Because my disability is not something to overcome, overlook or live in spite of – my disability is something I’ve embraced, accepted and learned to love myself with. I am aware that I’m different, and I still love myself, every part of me.
My work as a model and content creator are important to me because my goal is to become the representation I didn't have growing up.
Including me in your campaigns, partnerships and beyond means including an entire community that has always felt underrepresented.
Disney Creators Celebration is an invitation only conference. The conference invites bloggers and content creators from different backgrounds and niches to learn more about what's going on at the Walt Disney Company and become familiar with what Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line offers.
I could not believe I was invited!! this invitation was life-changing for me, I got to experience Disney parks + my very first Disney Cruise!
Debuting as a NYFW model! I had the privilege of being one of the first models to introduce the new VS adaptive line to the world.
‘IT'S TIME TO ADAPT’
is the first multi-brand fashion and beauty campaign featuring People with Disabilities wearing Adaptive & Universally designed products.
I had the honor to represent Sephora + Kohl's as a model for this campaign!
There are 61 million people living with a disability in the U.S. and of those, 8.9 percent were Latinx in 2017, according to a Cornell University report. Steffi’s existence on the trendiest social media platform speaking up for the disabled community with such pride is no small feat. She’s shifting the narrative from disabilities being a detriment and a burden by standing in her power and not shying away from showing what life looks like with disabilities.
Launched in 2019, #SephoraSquad is an ensemble of inspiring artists, storytellers, and beauty enthusiasts with a diverse range of interests, points of view, and followers.
A dream of mine has always been to create a space for inclusive beauty that everyone can relate to, a safe space free of filters and judgement.
I am full of gratitude that Sephora took a chance with me and gave me the opportunity to embark on this incredible journey alongside epic creators and brands that I only dreamt to work with!
My work with Aerie from American Eagle as an ambassador for the brand started in 2021 and ended in 2023.
My #AerieREAL journey allowed me to create a safe space on my corner of the internet by sharing raw messages of self-acceptance and self-love.
I was part of a campaign that landed in Aerie stores nationwide!
My mission is to make inclusion the new normal!
This was at Sephora's headquarter studios in L.A.
The team was fully prepared to make sure I had the accessibility I needed everywhere I went, including an incredible accessible luxury van that transported me along with other #SephoraSquad member to and from events.
THIS is inclusion at its finest! I could not be more proud to call myself a #SephoraSquad member, I am eternally grateful to my Sephora family for making me feel included in every single way. This is a partnership I humbly cherish, and this is a flawless example that should be praised and followed by brands out there.
As a disabled influencer, this is truly what dreams are made of, this is what Sephora means when they said:
"WE BELONG TO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL"
And I wholeheartedly believe I do.
Inclusive beauty includes skincare!
I'm here to remind you that real skin has pores, texture and imperfections.
As a Glow Recipe Ambassador I get to share my favorite skincare routines while serving as an example that a healthy relationship with your skin journey is possible.
We don't strive for perfect skin around here
We celebrate REAL SKIN
As a Visit Jacksonville ambassador I get to attend events and visit local attractions, restaurants, hotels and more!
My mission is to check out the accessibility and educate businesses on how to be a better ally to the disability community.
Ready to integrate disability inclusion to your brands? Let's work together!
